It feels like there aren't many opportunities to showcase one's audiovisual projects with low barriers. That’s why we created this concept where anyone can present their project with ease. After rain and a lot of chaos, we ended up hosting this film night at Käpytytöt's small basement space, which was packed to the brim.

KATOAVA's first film, Ympärilläni, vihreät siivet, premiered at the Penthouse Collective’s summer 2023 art space in Kallio. The evening also featured a sound installation, performance, jazz, and much more. City councilors Elina Kauppila and Mia Haglund joined Emmi Surwillo to discuss the importance of urban nature.
